ClampOn Subsea Corrosion-Erosion Monitor

The Subsea CEM (Corrosion-Erosion Monitor) is a non-intrusive ultrasonic instrument designed to measure wall thickness loss in pipes at a defined area. It uses ultrasound and acoustic guided Lamb Waves to detect the changes in wall thickness over time.

Corrosion and erosion are recognized as some of the most seriuos problems facing the industries world wide, and result in losses worth hundreds of billions of dollars every year. ClampOn DSP Subsea Particle Monitor

The ClampOn Subsea Particle Monitor is a non-intrusive instrument using passive acoustic and ultrasonic technology. It detects the amount of sand/particles passing through the inside of the pipe. The instrument has onboard Digital Signal Processing (DSP) for analysing of the collected data and sends real-time results to control system, giving the operator immediate warning if sand is being produced.

It is designed for depths to 3000 meters and has full redundancy, for high reliability through seasons with reduced access. Operators are using particle monitors widely to increase production rate by finding a maximum sand free rate. By monitoring and evaluating the data in real-time, the operator can make immediate decisions to ensure safe production.

ClampOn Subsea 3D Vibration Monitor

The Subsea vibration monitor is non-intrusive. It takes use of 3-axis accelerometer to monitor movements at subsea structures and pipes. It can monitor in both high and low frequency areas, making it possible to minimize risk of fatigue failure of pipes and other structural components. It can be supplied for permanent installations or for temporary inspections as a battery empowered solution.
Typical sources of vibration include vortex induced vibration (VIV) and flow induced vibration (FIV).
This instrument has become a valuable tool to monitor the state of the subsea pipework and structures. In several cases the application has enabled the operator to safely increase production as the measured level of vibration has been less than conservative models predict.
