Sevan SSP delivers early phase concept studies to clients wishing to evaluate the use of the cylindrical hull design. During follow on engineering and field development phases, Sevan SSP delivers detailed engineering of the hull, topside interfaces and mooring system. During construction and installation, Sevan SSP contributes with hands-on engineering, construction and marine operations experience gained during the construction and installation of our units. During operation, we provide a range of support services focused on mooring, marine operations and redeployment.
Sevan SSP designs floaters to meet clients’ needs and has a dedicated, experienced team with the unique benefit of having been the only player in the world who has designed, constructed and operated cylindrical floaters.

Friction Stir Welding

We can offer customers aluminium panels that are up to 18 meters long and 3.5 meters wide!

Some advantages of friction stir welding:
• A process that results in completely pore-free, tight joints with high strength
• Minimum heat influence on the material, with small heat stress only in the material and flat surfaces
• Good mechanical properties, with few, easily controlled variables, allowing tight tolerances

The FSW method provides high-strength joints without inclusions of impurities. Tensile tests show that the welded joints are almost completely free from stress. Det Norske Veritas has conducted bending and X-ray tests of the joints and approved the process for complex solutions in marine applications.

VIEC - Vessel internal electrostatic coalescer

Vessel Internal Electrostatic Coalescer (VIEC) is a technology for enhancing liquid-liquid separation by using alternating high voltage electrical fields.

The modular construction consists of several electrodes, where each electrode is electrically insulated and has its own dedicated transformer for transforming a low voltage feed to high voltage. It tolerates 100% water and 100% gas without short circuiting or arcing, making it ideally suited for use in any three-phase separator to speed up the separation of water dispersed in oil and/or to resolve stable oil-continuous emulsions.

The VIEC can be installed in new separators or retrofitted into three-phase separators with any hot work. Significant savings can be made both on the demand of heating ,chemical and separators train design.

Hose flotation device.
Used in various fields of marine activities, such as offshore oil- and gas industry and port facilities.

Polyform FlowSafe hose flotation devices are manufactured from an ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) material made according to our in-house developed raw material recipe. The Polyform BACELL™ material is a highly shock absorbent, strong and elastic material with 100% watertight cells. Relative to its strength, it has very low density, resulting in high buoyancy. To the highest possible degree, the outstanding elasticity of the BACELL™ material prevents FlowSafe from shrinking, deforming or breaking.

Polyform APBXL-series

Modular mooring and spring buoys.

The APBXL-series represents a modular series of buoys, designed for surface and sub-surface use, rotomolded from polyethylene (PE) and filled with polystyrene foam (EPS), polyurethane foam (PUR) or other materials depending on the application. The buoys are equipped with hot dip galvanized steel armatures, 4 full-length hot dip galvanized steel bolts and continuous chain through the center. The steel armatures and chain vary from application to application depending on whether it is for aquaculture, offshore, surface, sub-surface or other installations.
