The Conductor Anchor Node (CAN) is a well conductor that is integrated into a suction anchor well foundation and is installed by a light subsea construction vessel.

A majority of the Barents Sea and cold climate areas may be seasonally limited for drilling and well operations. CAN technology will extend the possible work capacity within given seasonal limitations, as it enables a time saving of 2-4 rig days per well.

By pre-rig installing a single well foundation with integrated conductor (CAN-ductor), the well hook-up work can be performed pre-rig with the same vessel and this costly time delay can be reduced, thus facilitating instant production.

CAN-integrator represent a new generation of better and smarter subsea wells, facilitating early production by enabling pre-rig well construction and marine operations.
Acting as an integrator between drilling, SPS (Subsea Production System) and SURF (Subsea, Umbilical, Riser, Flowlines) installation operations, SPS equipment is mounted on the CAN, in the workshop prior to subsea installation.
Once installed, the CAN fixes the exact well location and can be used as a hub to perform pre-rig well construction. In doing so, well construction, SPS/SURF installation and testing can all take place prior to the rig arriving on location.
